Honeymoon Part 3 - Mykonos!

Previous Posts

Aaron and I fell in LOVE with Mykonos.

I think we started making better food decisions in Mykonos, so we had a much better dining experience than Santorini (not that Santorini was bad by any means).

Mykonos is the beachy island.  It's known for it's party atmosphere and beautiful beaches.  I wasn't sure how I'd like it, but Aaron and I both fell in LOOOOOVE.

Here are some of the photos from our stay in Mykonos :-)
THE BEST way to get around the islands!!

Little restaurant next to our hotel - we were spoiled with the views

View from our room - sunsets were unreal!

Sunset from the ferry - on our way to Athens!

By far my most favorite thing we did on our entire trip was kayaking to secluded beaches.  The water was crystal clear, it was a perfect day, and the snorkeling was a treat.  Considering this was Aaron's first time in the ocean, he'd never been snorkeling before.  Definitely a new experience and I was so incredibly proud of myself that I helped him experience something other than mountains new.

Randomly while a certain someone had control of the camera, a weird filter got put on the camera.  I ended up applying a different filter to remove the first one and ended up turning the water to a pee-green color.

The water wasn't pee-green.
It was beautiful blue.
Bummer!

His first time snorkeling!

URCHIN!!

The beach we kayaked into for lunch  (AMAZING)

Dora the Explorer

We kayaked through Mykonos Kayak and I would hands down encourage anyone traveling to Mykonos to do this.  The lunch was a homemade crafted lunch with cheeses, homemade olive oil, herbs, bread…. DROOLING!

Colchuck Lake Hike

I love all things fall:
Pumpkins
Pumpkin-flavored-everything
Apples
Weather
Leaves
Color
Scarves and boots
Oktoberfest

Since moving to the PNW, Aaron and I go to Oktoberfest in Leavenworth, WA.
It's this tiny little German town in the middle of the mountains.

I love love love love Leavenworth.
Via
Aaron and I decided to hike to Colchuck Lake
And for good reason
If you ever make it to Washington, put this on your list of hike you MUST do.

Road trip time!

Honeymoon Part 2 - Santorini! (continued)

Previous Posts

Our second day in Santorini included:
  • Hiking a volcano
  • Swimming in hot spring
  • Visiting the island of Thirasa for lunch

Top of the volcano

Funny story:  Aaron has never been in the ocean.
Like… never.
In order to get to the hot springs, we had to swim from the boat to the springs.
Aaron dove from the boat, and when he surfaced he exclaimed,
"IT'S SO SALTY!!!"
Why yes honey - it's the ocean :-)
Hot springs!

Lunch in Thirasa
